5. The duties for the issue of a permit are
— $332 for a Class A permit (manufacturer’s permit);
— $84 for a Class B permit (renovator’s permit);
— $19 for Permit C-1;
— $46 for Permit C-2;
— $99 for Permit C-3.
Such duties are adjusted on 1 January of each year in accordance with the rate of increase in the general Consumer Price Index for Canada, as established by Statistics Canada, for the 12-month period ending on 30 September of the preceding year.
The duties adjusted in the manner prescribed shall be decreased to the nearest dollar where they include a fraction of a dollar under $0.50; they shall be increased to the nearest dollar where they include a fraction of a dollar equal to or greater than $0.50.
For the purposes of this section, the Department shall publish the table of new duties each year in the Gazette officielle du Québec, before their coming into force.
